The whole society is facing difficulties when it comes to studying or going for an exchange for almost 2 years now. Thanks to the flexible educational systems, students from all over the world have a vast university option to study online. Even on the other side of the globe.
This was the case of our two exchange Canadian students from the Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria who studied at EUBA in the winter semester of the academic year 2020/2021. Emma and Nicholas could not do their exchange in person, which did not deter them from studying online.
Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, Canada is AACSB accredited, and the University of Economics in Bratislava has been recently accredited by this prestigious accreditation as well. One of the many benefits of the accreditation for students is having the opportunity for international exchanges at the world’s best schools. That is why EUBA and the University of Victoria started cooperating in recent years. We had the honour to welcome Emma and Nicholas as the first exchange students from this university.
Having great memories of their exchange online winter semester at EUBA, this experience brought them both to Bratislava while travelling around Europe. Laura Danielová, Coordinator for Incoming Students and Kaja Kurent, Intern at the International Mobility Department from the University of Ljubljana had a chance to meet them, show them the university campus and ask a few questions.
Despite their semester being online they very much enjoyed their studies at EUBA. “The course selection was extensive, the teachers spoke almost perfect English, and most of the classes recorded the lectures. Hence, even the time difference was not an issue.”
Emma and Nicholas recommend anyone to seize the opportunity and go on a study exchange, especially to EUBA!
