In the winter semester of an academic year 2024/2025, we organize the 12th edition of an international educational project Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate Program (CEC), that enables short-term international student exchange at three economic universities in Central Europe. The CEC project is a joint project of the University of Economics in Vienna (WU), the University of Economics in Warsaw (SGH) and the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA). Within this unique certified program, 20 students from each university attend lectures and discussions on the topics of economic development of the countries of the Central European region.
The 12th edition of the CEC program was officially launched on October 14, 2024 at the University of Economics in Bratislava with the course " Structural Dynamics in Central European Economies“. In the opening speech, students were greeted by Boris Mattoš, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of EUBA. After the welcome part, students continued in the program with a campus tour and integration workshop focused on team work. Students then continued with lectures. Apart from block teaching, a tour of Bratislava, welcome dinner, as well as social activity organised by the ESN EU Bratislava was also prepared for students. Students also took part on specialized lecture prepared by representatives from SARIO - The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency. During the whole week, students attended lectures and worked in teams on group projects. The course, which is organised as an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program this semester, will be concluded on Saturday, October 19, 2024 with presentations of the first results of group projects. Students then continue in the CEC program in November with the course „Strategies and Management for Central Europe“, organised under the supervision of partner university WU. Last course of the current edition of the CEC program, specifically „Marketing resources and consumer behaviour in Central Europe“, organised under the supervision of SGH, will be launched in Warsaw on December 2, 2024.
Overall 58 students take part on the CEC program in the winter semester of an academic year 2024/2025 and the total number of graduates of the project, since its launch in 2018, will exceed 560 students.
