During the summer semester of 2023/2024, the University of Economics in Bratislava will welcome 104 exchange students from 21 countries in Europe, Asia, and America. The largest group consists of students from our partner institutions in France, Spain, Germany, and Portugal, who were sent through the Erasmus+ program. Students from the United States, India, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are part of bilateral cooperation and the National Scholarship Program. We are also happy to welcome students from Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina coming through the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility program.
To make all our exchange students feel welcome, the International Office organized the Welcome Week event starting from January 29, 2024. The event was full of various activities. The students were welcomed and greeted by Boris Mattoš, Vice-rector for International Relations, and Laura Danielová, coordinator for incoming students. In addition, the folk ensemble FS Ekonóm presented a piece of Slovak culture to the students through a traditional Slovak folk dance. The head of the International Office, Miroslava Darnadiová also talked about life in Bratislava and recommended several interesting locations and places in Slovakia. Representatives of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN EU Bratislava) organized a campus tour, and the International Office provided students with important information about study administration and duties regarding the foreign police in Slovakia.
