The University of Economics in Bratislava hosted the 12th edition of the Winter School in cooperation with the prestigious French university ESC Rennes School of Business. 9 January 2023 saw the opening of the event’s 12th edition attended by 15 foreign students from countries such as Colombia, Peru, Mexico, India, China or Italy. For the first time ever, students of the University of Economics in Bratislava were allowed to attend teaching activities and had thus an opportunity to experience internationalisation on their home ground in addition to being able to acquire expert knowledge.
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Miroslava Darnadiová, authorised to represent the Head of the International Mobility Department. Students then had a tour of the University campus. Laura Danielová, Coordinator for Incoming Students, provided them with full information on the options available at the University and introduced an activity programme prepared by the ESN Bratislava.
The academic programme was intended for international master's students who in two weeks of intense instruction completed classes focused on international strategic management. The classes were held by Mr. Branislav Zagoršek from the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava and by Mr. Shubho Chakraborty from the French university. The Winter School programme concluded on 20 January 2023.
The ESC Rennes School of Business is an excellent university placing high in international rankings, has a high degree of internationalisation with foreign students accounting for more than 50 percent of the entire student body, and is also a proud holder of triple international accreditation - AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
