The University of Economics in Bratislava organized its 13th edition of the International Teaching & Training Week 2022 from November 7 to 10, 2022, with the subtitle Internationalization of Higher Education.

The university organized the event within the Erasmus+ program. The main theme of the event was the internationalization of higher education. Like many other renowned universities, the UE in Bratislava considers the internationalization of students and employees to be an important part of its strategy. Ferdinand DAŇO, Rector of the UE in Bratislava, and Boris MATTOŠ, Vice-rector for International Relations of the UE in Bratislava, welcomed the participants with an opening speech.

During four days, a rich program full of interactive workshops focused on the internationalization of higher education and discussions on the challenges and experiences that the internationalization of higher education brings with it was prepared for the foreign guests.

A total of 13 representatives from 9 foreign partner universities from Europe, Asia, and Africa took part in the event. Representatives from partner universities from Vietnam (National Economics University) and South Africa (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) participated in the event online, through the MS TEAMS platform.

The Department of International Mobility prepared two workshops: Internationalization of higher education led by Silvia KOTULIČOVÁ from SAIA, n.o./EURAXESS Slovakia and Internationalization of student mobility led by Miroslava DARNADIOVÁ from the Department of International Mobility.

Foreign educators from Poland (Wrocław Business University of Applied Sciences) and Latvia (RISEBA University of Applied Sciences) participated in the teaching process at the Faculty of Commerce and the Faculty of Business Management. The lectures were held in English and were enjoyed by the students.

The participants evaluated the event as a great opportunity to meet their colleagues from foreign universities and establish new partnerships. They highlighted the quality of the prepared workshops on the topic of the internationalization of higher education.

Boris MATTOŠ, the Vice-rector for International Relations, presented the certificates to the participants on behalf of the Rector of the UE in Bratislava.
