The Department of International Mobility of University of Economics in Bratislava prepared a photography exhibition of exchange students who completed their stay at the university in the summer semester of the academic year 2021/2022 through the Erasmus+ KA171 programme (cooperation outside Europe). The photographs show students from partner institutions from countries such as China, Georgia, South Korea, Syria, and Ukraine in the EU environment in Bratislava.
The photography exhibition entitled "My Home Country in Slovakia" presents typical objects and places that remind students of their home at the University of Economics in Bratislava.
DooWon, who extended his study stay for the winter semester of 2022/2023 said: “The title of the photo exhibition is perfect, it was like the last week of the semester, everyone was getting ready to go back home and we just brought items we missed so we were a step closer. The item that I have brought is some of my favorite Korean snacks, it always reminds me of home not just because of their taste or packaging, but more of the memories or the routines I have in Korea that makes me remember everything about my home country, even I am away from home.“
Liu (Ningbo University, China) is wearing her traditional Chinese dress, under a tree in front of the campus which reminded her of the Chinese blossom tree.
Students Diana, and Marwa (Tishreen University, Syria) liked to spend their time in the Slovak Economic Library at EUBA since it reminded them of their home and the university itself.
Marita and Ana (GIPA university, Georgia) are holding traditional Georgian food "khinkali", which reminded them of our Slovak Pierogi.
Artem (Summy State University, Ukraine) brought a book from his country, that reminds him of the landscapes and places he used to go.
The photo exhibition will take place on the premises of the University of Economics in Bratislava, namely:
October 11. - 14., 2022 in the venue of the new building
October 17. - 31., 2022 on the third floor of the Rectorate
November 02. - 18., 2022 in the venue of the old building
November 21. - 30., 2022 – Slovak Economic Library
Subsequently, the photographs will also be exhibited at the Faculty of Business Economy with seat in Košice.
This exhibition is organized within the Erasmus+ program KA107.
