The University of Economics in Bratislava welcomed 135 students from 22 countries of the world who came to study in the summer semester of the academic year 2019/2020. The countries with the highest representation are France, Spain and Germany. Students from the USA or Mexico will also study at the university as part of bilateral cooperation and under the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility Program, as well as students from Albania and Ukraine.
For international students, the International Mobility Department of the Center for International Relations prepared a welcome week event from the 3rd to the 16th of February 2020 in cooperation with the Erasmus Student Network at the University of Economics in Bratislava (ESN). On the first day, the opening ceremony took place in the UE auditorium in Bratislava, where students were welcomed by Boris MATTOŠ,the Vice-Rector for International Relations. Students had the opportunity to learn not only about the university, but also about Bratislava, various attractions and sights during the presentation, which was mediated by Marta RAJKOVÁ from the Bratislava Tourist Board. Subsequently, they took part in a tour of the university. On the second day, students were introduced to the study and were provided practical information on study, administrative, visa and organizational responsibilities from the coordinator for incoming students, Laura DANIELOVÁ. ESN has provided students with information on events that will be organized throughout the semester for students from abroad, such as ice-breaking games, traditional Slovak dinner or trips throughout Slovakia, to Vienna and Budapest.
