On 5 November 2019, the University of Economics in Bratislava organized the 4th International Study Abroad Fair. The aim of this event was to provide information about mobilities and internships abroad in the framework of the European Commission Erasmus+ programme and bilateral cooperation. The event was organized by the International Mobility Department of the Center for International Relations.
The fair was opened by Mr Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for International Relations, who also presented the first prize of the photo competition for international students at the opening part of the event. The winning photo was made by Mr Mirko Rabino of the University of Torino, Italy. Mr Rafael Alonso Veloso from the Embassy of Brazil in Slovakia also spoke to the students and stressed that a foreign exchange stay “is an important experience helping to broaden not only our horizons but also a critical view of the world we live in”.
International students currently studying at EUBA in the winter semester of the academic year 2019/2020 presented their universities in their stalls. A novel feature of the fourth edition was also a rich accompanying program in which students from 25 countries presented interesting facts from their countries. Universities from Germany, Belgium, France and the extremely popular Spain and Italy were all represented at the event. Currently students from Uzbekistan, Russia and Bhutan are studying at EUBA too.
In the end, the competition for the most beautifully decorated booth was evaluated. The first place was awarded to the booth of students from Latvia, the second place was occupied by students from Romania and the third place was belonged to students from Poland.
