On 22 October 2019, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines, H.E. Ms Maria Cleofe Natividad gave a lecture in the 26th edition of Diplomacy in Practice lecture series.
In her presentation, the Ambassador addressed the main foreign policy priorities of the Philippines including collaboration with major international organizations. An important part of her lecture were also the activities of the Philippine Embassy based in Vienna, especially in the field of scientific diplomacy. The lecture was followed by a discussion in which the Ambassador answered questions from students who were interested in the current internal political situation and the Philippine government's attitude to certain problems.
Prior to the lecture, the Ambassador was welcomed at the University by Mr Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for International Relations. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms Andrea Lynn Lazaro, Third Secretary of the Philippine Embassy. Mr Pavol Konštiak, Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Slovakia, was also present at both the welcome meeting and the lecture.
